The Art of Holding Space : Creating a relationship with the invisible

The Art of Deep Listening and Touch

“Biodynamic” means attuning to the intelligence of life itself—the body, the breath, the unseen forces shaping our existence. “Touch” is the meeting point of two awarenesses: yours and another’s, yours and nature’s. A moment of presence in the unknown.

Touch begins before contact—with awareness, boundaries, and invitation. It is an unfolding dialogue, a conversation with space, with sensation, with what wants to emerge.

An Immersion in the Living Field

These classes are both a retreat and a training, depending on how you wish to receive them. They are an immersion in the evolving intelligence of consciousness, explored through the body and the unseen field that unites us all.

We cultivate awareness of our sacred space, our fluid body, and our physiology. We deepen our presence, refine our capacity to listen, and explore the relational dynamics between self and other.

In the end, what makes a skilled facilitator—whether therapist, teacher, guide, or healer—is not what we know, but how deeply we listen. The safety and spaciousness we offer are a reflection of our own journey.

We first learn about ourselves. Then we hold space for others to become who they truly are.

There are 3 levels of space holding

Each level is a deepening journey into Body-Consciousness

Level I - Sacred Space

Level 1 - Sacred Space : Awareness of space

  • The foundation of all healing is trust.

In this first level, we refine our awareness of space, learning to listen to the subtle language of the body and nature. This is where we meet true boundaries—not just physical, but energetic and relational.

We explore the embryological origins of the body—where life first organizes itself. By recreating the conditions of deep safety, we allow the intelligence of the field to emerge and unfold naturally.

    We cultivate:

        •    The art of listening without interfering

        •    Awareness of subtle space and energetic boundaries

        •    Perceptual skills rooted in the biodynamic approach

        •    An understanding of healing dynamics and energetic anatomy

This is where we learn how to hold space—for ourselves, for others, for what wants to arise.

  • Each Modules are taught over 7 days and 6 nights.

Level II - Inner Space

Level 2 - Inner Space :  Awareness of Fluids

  • We enter the inner tides of the body, where life takes shape.

This level explores the fluid intelligence of the body—the forces that shaped us in the womb and continue shaping us now. We look at how our impressions of the world were formed—how we adapted, what we held, and what we believed we needed to be.

Who would I have become if I had been free to unfold according to my inner dream?

    This module brings us into:

        •    The ventricular space of the brain and cerebrospinal fluid

        •    The mid-tide and long-tide of the body’s fluid movements

        •    The foundational principles of Craniosacral Therapy

        •    A deepened connection to the fluid body as a space of transformation

This is a journey into the waters of our being—where memory, possibility, and presence merge.

  • Each Modules are taught over 7 days and 6 nights.

Level III - Integration

Level 3 - Integration :  Awareness of structures

  • Here, we integrate. We stand in our verticality—anchored, embodied, whole.y

This level explores the structures of the body as an expression of consciousness. We look at how membranes, diaphragms, and bones hold the story of our unfolding, and how we carry transformation into daily life.

        •    How do I hold myself in the world?

        •    How do I embody what I have come to know?

        •    How does structure support fluidity and flow?

    We explore:

        •    The body’s diaphragms and membranes, from feet to cranium

        •    The symbolism of structures and their role in integration

This is the space where presence becomes embodiment.

  • Each Modules are taught over 7 days and 6 nights.

“a transformative journey where deep individual healing meets the power of collective presence, unveiling in the process a new way of listening, of relating to others & connecting to your body”

We have forgotten how to truly listen—deeply—to ourselves, to one another, and to the intelligence that moves through all things. Nature is always speaking, but have we attuned ourselves to hear? Beyond knowledge, beyond assumptions, there is a deeper language—one of sensation, symbols, and the unseen. True wisdom is not something we impose; it is something we receive. When we cultivate a relationship with the unknown, we open ourselves to being guided by life itself, allowing nature to reveal what needs to be seen, resolved, or integrated.

Healing Beyond Fixing

Healing is often misunderstood as a technique to be applied, a formula that should yield predictable results. But life doesn’t work that way. What if healing is not about changing, fixing, or removing, but about fully becoming? What if your struggles are not obstacles but essential parts of your unfolding?

The body was not created through a technique; it arose from a profound intelligence, unfolding from a single cell into the complexity of who you are. That same intelligence is always present, always adapting, always seeking balance. Yet much of modern healing imposes an assumption that the body must be “fixed” with external methods. Techniques that do not listen to the body’s natural rhythm can create more disruption than resolution, pulling us into an endless cycle of healing rather than true integration. Sometimes, healing itself becomes the very thing we need to recover from. Sometimes, the greatest wounds come not from our past, but from the way healing has been forced upon us—intrusive, mistimed, disconnected from our rhythm.

Healing from Healing

What if, instead of trying to impose change, we learned to listen? Not in passive surrender, but in deep receptivity—trusting that within the very symptoms we seek to fix lies the intelligence needed for transformation. The body already holds the energy for healing; our role is not to override, but to recognize and honor its wisdom. If you have ever felt exhausted by healing, caught in an endless pursuit of fixing, there is another way—one rooted not in external intervention, but in the deep knowing that has been within you all along.

These retreats are designed for you to be you, receive and learn at your own rhythm.

“I feel called to your classes but I am not a practitioner”

Fantastic, it will be 50% easier for you !

If you have a body, this course is for you !

This class is designed for you in mind, there’s nothing for you to do and to know in advance. We will learn to “do nothing” so if you don’t do anything already, it makes it easier :)

Having said that, of course we will learn so many things, nature has unbelievable secrets to tell us, but the practice is to do nothing, know nothing and learn how a deep state of presence creates trust. Being present with someone doesn’t require any knowledge or skills. Even the best therapist cannot force someone to feel safe.

We gather to explore how life moves through us, how our histories, memories, and experiences shape our being, and how we can meet ourselves and others with more depth and authenticity.

You are welcome to join if you feel called, curiosity, joy and a little bit of fear … of the unknown !

“I am already a therapist, teacher, practitioner”

Great ! it will be 50% easier for you !

This class is designed for yoga teachers, meditators, therapists, healers, facilitators, space holders, parents, educators, social workers, police officers and anyone curious to deepen their understanding of healing dynamics and those who wants to hold space for others. These classes offer an embodied approach to presence, touch, and relational intelligence.

It is an entry point into self-healing, an enhancement for those already in practice, and a returning ground for advanced practitioners. There is always more to discover—each time, a new unfolding.

Our own healing is essential if we wish to hold space for others.

What is Biodynamic Touch ?

a blend of biodynamic listening, craniosacral wisdom & relational presence … with a whisper of symbolic language and a zest of heart

You will leave this class with

True healing is impossible without real boundaries. In these classes, you will learn how to first discover, then honor, your own boundaries and those of others. A genuine connection to self begins with this recognition—without it, meaningful relationships cannot exist.

Awareness of Boundaries

Relational Skills

This work is inherently relational, and the presence you bring to the treatment space is key. Through this training, you will develop the capacity to hold space, listen deeply, and find resonance with others in a true compassionate way, allowing others to feel seen in your presence. Most of the work unfolds beyond what is seen or understood, and your ability to remain fully present in that space is what allows true transformation to happen.

Ease with the Unknown

What we think we know eventually dissolves, like a sandcastle meeting the tide. Knowledge is valuable, but true listening is far more essential. The universe speaks in a language beyond certainty—learning to be in relationship with the unknown opens the door to a deeper, more fluid wisdom. You’ll navigate the unknown with confidence.

Perceptual Skills

You will develop the ability to perceive the body across multiple levels—physical, fluid, and energetic—gaining a deeper understanding of its complexity. These skills will become essential foundations for therapeutic practice. Through this process, you will attune to mid-tide, fulcrums, primal orientation, embryological forces, and the living anatomy, expanding your capacity to work with the body’s innate intelligence.

Trust with Groups

Each class is a unique healing field, shaped by those who gather. The connections we form are not random—they reveal deeper patterns of individual and collective resonance. Through shared experience, we become integral parts of a greater whole, where personal symptoms and challenges offer guidance to others and vice versa. Sacred space unites our individual trajectories.

Time & Space

Healing is not bound by linear time. You will explore the deep relationship between time, space, and awareness, learning how to hold a space that transcends temporal limitations and opens new possibilities for transformation.

Acceptance

What if healing isn’t about changing what we don’t want, but fully accepting what is? True healing arises when we acknowledge our past and embrace where it leads us. This perspective shifts our understanding of growth and transformation.

Family Constellations

At times, the principles of family constellation will weave into our sessions, offering insights into healing dynamics. While not the primary focus, this approach brings a valuable lens for understanding intergenerational patterns and the deeper forces at play in the therapeutic process.

Meet

Itzel & Christopher

Connections between the soul of those with whom we work is primordial for me. Christopher and Itzel both followed my classes and got to experience this sacred space we share during those workshops. Together they felt to offer this opportunity in Yandara !

Their genuine and generous heart is what strikes me the most about them and a collaboration of this nature is so rewarding on many levels !

Christopher is leading yoga teacher trainings for more than a decade among many others gifts he has and Itzel offers beautiful and profound sessions on site. I can only recommend her delicate and subtle awareness to guide you in your inner self.

It is about deepening listening, whether you are a therapist, a yogi, or a mother, a lover, a friend, if you work with children, in healthcare, education, social service, wellness or in politics, we can all benefit from more listening to the humans around us, and our eco-system.

  • The only certification I can give is one of being at the right place at the right time !

Joking aside, I cannot give a certification that will give you access to a professional order in your country. But I can count the hours of study you have done with me and after a certain amount of courses, you could get some form of mentorship and get access to advanced trainings with clinical observation.

“When I first studied with JeanManuel, I didn’t know just how much it would shift my approach—not only to teaching but to holding space for transformation, in and out of the classroom. This training wasn’t just about learning a new technique, but about refining my presence, deepening my awareness, and truly listening—not just with my ears, but with my whole being. It helped me in ways I never expected, especially when working with private students, individuals with trauma, and in creating a more attuned, healing space for myself and others.”

Christopher Perkins, Yoga Teacher, Yandara institute

It’s been close to 9 years I’ve studied and spent time with Jean-Manuel.  I have no idea how many courses I’ve taken now or days we’ve spent together, but it’s been a lot. The truth is I keep coming back because every time I learn something new. Every time I leave feeling as if I know myself better, and love myself more. And every time I leave being grateful to have such an authentic and genuinely loving person as my teacher.

Jean is an endless wealth of understanding and knowledge of the human experience and healing. The curriculum of his classes is methodical and encompassing. He teaches intuitively and with structure - no class is ever a repeat. His classes always focus on meeting the needs of the group that is present and his teachings emphasize the empowerment of his students - not playing into any sort of guru/follower dynamic.
I don’t know any student of his of whom I’ve met many, who wouldn’t agree with this testimonial.

I wouldn’t write any of this if it wasn’t absolutely true for me. I couldn’t recommend Jean-Manuel more for anyone looking for an excellent curriculum and teacher.

Biodynamic Touch Retreats

The body is a mystery—a living archive of our past, a script of our unfolding future. It holds sensations, expressions, movements, and memories, inviting us to listen, to explore, and to witness its wisdom. It can be a temporary prison of the soul or a sacred temple for the greater expression of light. This mystery cannot be explained, but it can be experienced.

Jean Manuel Nadeau

Facilitator, Teacher, and Practitioner of Biodynamic Touch, a blend of Craniosacral Therapy, Relational Presence, and Symbolic Language

Jean-Manuel does not offer a technique that promises transformation, nor does he claim to have the answers. Instead, he facilitates a practice of presence—of learning to listen to the body’s wisdom, to the unspoken language of nature, and to the subtle relational fields that connect us all. He teaches how to be with the unknown rather than trying to solve it, how to meet the body not as a problem but as an unfolding mystery.

Through retreats, trainings, and online courses, Jean-Manuel cultivates spaces where healing emerges not from intervention but from resonance—where strangers come together in deep listening, bearing witness to one another’s experience, and finding in that presence a mirror for their own transformation.

His work is centred on the universal language whispered by all living being and we can hear it through a practice of listening to this intelligence within each of us, through the living fluid body our nervous system resides in. Biodynamic Touch is not simply a technique but a practice of awareness—where healing arises from attunement rather than control, from meeting the unknown rather than trying to solve it.

Jean-Manuel facilitates trainings and retreats across Bali, Norway, Canada, France, Mexico, Sicily, Sweden, and is based in Montreal, where he offers individual sessions and Family Constellation circles. His online courses and mentorship programs extend this work globally, guiding participants toward a more intimate, embodied relationship with life.

How do we meet the unknown—not to conquer it, but to converse with it? How do we truly listen—to ourselves, to each other, and to the unseen forces that shape us? In a world driven by the pursuit of answers, Jean-Manuel holds space for the wisdom that arises when we surrender to an open question.
